Street
and Sanitation
Division
The City of
Covington Street and Sanitation Division is located at 410 E. Ripley
Street. The division performs a multitude of functions. One of their
daily tasks is to collect and dispose of yard waste and trash which is
picked up at curb side.
Other functions
include:
The maintenance of
proper drainage throughout the city, street repair and maintenance, and
maintenance of State Highways within our city limits. Animal control
within the city is also handled by this division. Also repair,
maintenance and installation of street signs, striping of streets and
parking spaces, curb and gutter repair and construction, repair and
installation of sidewalks, are other tasks performed by the Street and
Sanitation Division. In addition, this division maintains all City
parks, Munford and Townsend cemeteries, as well as, the City of
Covington Airport grounds.
